How to convert temperatures
The three scales measure the same physical quantity from different zero points. Celsius sets 0° at the freezing point of water and 100° at its boiling point. Fahrenheit puts those at 32° and 212°. Kelvin starts at absolute zero (−273.15 °C), so it never goes negative.
Formulas
- Celsius → Fahrenheit: °F = (°C × 9/5) + 32
- Fahrenheit → Celsius: °C = (°F − 32) × 5/9
- Celsius → Kelvin: K = °C + 273.15
